Wesley Memorial Methodist Church, Oxford

Whenever I visit Wesley, there are two things I “refresh” my soul with.

The first was erected for the tercentenary of Charles Wesley’s birth. It has one of his verses inscribed in the glass window- “ Oh that the world might taste and see the riches of his grace…”

My other soul refreshing item made by human hands is the Covenant Prayer banner. “ I am no longer my own but Thine…”

I’ve visited Oxford five times, and been into this chapel umpteen times, and my soul is ever refreshed by these symbols. I thank God for the two saints whose words are immortalized there.
