It was the first time I blessed a boat. Houses and church buildings? Yes. A hotel, yes. But never a boat. I was, however, on invitation, happy to. It turned out to be this luxury yacht Bravo Eugenia.
I learned so much, that building a yacht takes time, talent and teamwork. Part from Poland, part from Netherlands; architects ( one for interior and another for exterior); engineers, suppliers; craftsmen with varied skills; managers, crew, promoters. So much joint effort to realize this work of art, meant to bring pleasure to those aboard.
It was a different “blessing” to the usual. The owner kept his prized whiskey, not smashing it on the hull. Instead, there was the holy water that I poured there and prayed for safe travels once it left the shipyard in Ablasseram.
